Highlights of The Nelson Trust Charity Auction 10th May 2019

13th May 2019

Philip was once again in charge of the gavel at The Nelson Trust Annual Auction held at Berkeley Castle, home of Charles Berkeley and family, the current High Sheriff of Gloucestershire on Friday 10th May.

A day’s shooting, in which the teams hosting Philip and Claire from the salerooms came in the top half of the thirty teams participating, was followed by a black tie dinner and auction. Seventeen lots made up the auction and included a day’s shooting at Badminton for 8 guns, kindly donated by The Duke of Beaufort – this was the top lot of the evening adding £10,000 to the total of over £45,000 raised. Other lots that proved popular were the use of a beautiful Apline Chalet for up to 18 people near Morzine, France, a day’s shooting at Sudeley Castle for 8 guns and of course the Philanthropic Lot. The whole day made £64,659 for the charity.
