REDUCE YOR CHANCES OF UNEXPECTED CHANCEL REPAIR BILLS

Further to the previous article in our Rural Update, Moore Allen & Innocent now have two new tools at our disposal to help reduce the risks of unexpected claims for chancel repairs.

Searches
We now have access to specialist searches which identify whether your property is likely to be at risk of a chancel repair liability. The first search is a check based on historic parish maps and costs £10.00* and identifies whether a property lies within an historic parish where a liability arises. The second option is a much more detailed check of the Record of Ascertainments and other documents and identifies whether a particular parcel has a liability arising. The cost of this second option is in the region of £110.00*.

Insurance
In the event that either of these searches identify a risk of liability for chancel repairs, we now have details of an insurance specialist who can provide cost effective cover for the next 25 years for a one off premium. Different levels of cover are available and policies can cover part or the whole of any residential, commercial or agricultural property.
