Glyphosate Licence Renewed for 5 Years

29th November 2017

27 November 2017

It has been announced that the EU Commission has voted to extend the licence for the use of glyphosate for 5 years from 15th December 2017. This is positive news for farmers who were facing the real possibility of this useful management tool being withdrawn. The licence period extends over the withdrawal from the EU and with the UK being one of the member states voting in favour of the renewal, many farmers will hope that Defra continues the licence for the whole of the licence period.
